Gresham has appointed Spiros Giannaros as chief executive to succeed Mark Hepsworth at the enterprise data automation company for financial services firms.

Giannaros previously spent more than 25 years in capital markets software, serving as chief executive at Charles River Development and partner at Markit, where he led the business that Gresham acquired in 2026.

The role will involve leading the company through its next phase of growth following the recent acquisition of S&P Global’s enterprise data management business.

Giannaros said the company will leverage artificial intelligence within its products to deliver data automation capabilities for critical investment and regulatory operations.
