Markit Establishes Tokyo Office, Led by Mizutani

Markit Group has hired Katsumi Mizutani to head the company’s new Tokyo office and manage business development in Japan. He joins from TD Securities, where he was managing director and head of credit derivative structuring and customised solutions in Tokyo. Prior to that, he was at Deutsche Bank in the capital markets team. Also joining Markit is Vaughan Harding as director in its valuations group, based in London. He will be responsible for driving the development of the Markit Valuations service with specific focus on expanding its credit derivatives valuations. He was previously with Commerzbank running the price verification teams covering all regions and asset classes traded by the bank. He also worked at Citigroup in credit derivatives product control, and Bank of America.
