Horizon Software, a provider of electronic trading solutions and algorithmic technology, has named Fabrice Fischer as head of its APAC region. Fischer will focus on consolidating the company’s position in APAC, paying particular attention to high-growth markets in China and the ASEAN countries.

Fischer has spent over two decades in financial markets and IT, working across Asia, Europe and North America. He specialises in Artificial Intelligence (AI), having founded a financial services AI consultancy, and has worked with Sentient Technologies, a distributed AI hedge fund, where he served as group chief financial officer, head of cloud computing and compliance officer. Fischer’s experience will help Horizon develop its strategy for AI.

Sylvain Thieullent, CEO of Horizon, says: “Fabrice’s involvement in our industry is testament to how seriously we take the job of nurturing our presence in Asia, and his experience in AI will help us drive forward innovation. We have a long history of partnering with Tier 1 banks in the region, and more recently have helped to develop market expertise in countries like Vietnam.”
