Xenomorph Offers Souped-Up SQL for Reference Data

Subscribe to our newsletter

Xenomorph has launched TimeScape QL+, a new query language designed specifically for filtering and analysis of reference, historic and tick-by-tick data. Based on an SQL-like syntax, TimeScape QL+ allows traders, risk managers and technologists to filter and analyze data more efficiently than is possible with pure relational database technology, Xenomorph says. The development has been driven by the recent extension of Xenomorph’s client list from its traditional base in cash equities and equity derivatives into the credit derivatives and fixed income markets. “Within credit and fixed income, there is more need to selectively pre-filter data prior to performing more complex time series analysis,” according to Xenomorph.
