MKI Global Partners has established a new emerging markets advisory practice, initially focusing on Latin America, and appointed Alex Alencar as Managing Director to lead the expansion. The new practice will support MKI’s existing clients pursuing investment and business opportunities in emerging markets, while advising regional investors and companies navigating complex situations in international markets.
Alencar brings more than 30 years of experience in international financial markets, including senior positions at global investment banks. Originally from Brazil and based in London, he has worked extensively with institutional investors, hedge funds and companies across Latin America and other emerging markets. He will work alongside MKI’s corporate and regional teams, combining local market knowledge with the firm’s broader advisory capabilities.
The appointment follows a period of international expansion for MKI, including the opening of a Washington, D.C. office and advisory mandates involving private equity firms and listed companies across Europe and North America.
