G2systems Signs Reseller Agreement with IBM for EDM Solution Optim

Software integration and implementation services vendor G2systems has signed a reseller agreement with IBM for its enterprise data management (EDM) product Optim. Under the agreement, G2systems will offer the IBM solution to its client base of hedge funds, investment firms and fund administrators.

The deal is indicative of the current trend within the data management vendor community to seek partnerships and extend product reach into previously untapped client bases. By working together these vendors can strengthen their defences against the battering they are taking as a result of the financial crisis and the consequential retrenchment by financial institutions.
