Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) has released Data Manager, a web-based module for Infomediary, its integrated communications outsourcing solution, which allows global asset managers to outsource their straight-through-processing (STP) and messaging infrastructure.

The new module gives Infomediary clients enhanced functionality to directly customize, view and control their time-sensitive data in real time through a web-based application.

Clients can customize the module to meet their particular data maintenance needs by choosing from one or more data components, including reference (including market, security and currency identifiers), translation and rules (standing settlement instructions) and information management tools. Each component and associated inter-face is built based on client-defined requirements and is integrated with the full suite of Infomediary products.

According to Taylor Bodman, BBH partner responsible for Infomediary, “Use of this module can deliver immediate results for Infomediary users looking to customize standard industry data into their proprietary applications.”

Existing tools on the Infomediary platform include: InfoMonitor, a web-based interface providing a window into the communications systems, including real-time status of each message along with detailed research capabilities; Message Entry, a secure web-based screen for sending trade instructions, FX, money movement, corporate actions or free-format messages via Swift

ISO 15022 or proprietary formats to service providers or counterparties (based on Swift BIC codes or pre-determined FTP connections); and Message View and Repair, a facility to review and update messages negatively acknowledged by Swift or meeting client-defined business rules.
BBH Infomediary, a hosted communications platform, provides a single connectivity point for streamlining post-trade communication between financial service companies and their external service providers and counterparties. The product is focused on the areas of trade automation, reconciliation data collection and corporate actions communications. Infomediary takes in data in any electronic format, normalizes it, and then translates, transforms, and transmits the information over networks such as Swift or via a proprietary connection.
