Artificial intelligence has dominated the data management conversation in the past couple of years as organisations have recognised the technology’s potential to streamline operations, improve decision making and draw value from the data they use.
A-Team Group has responded to the growing demand for intelligence on AI and has given the technology a keen focus in this year’s Data Management Summit London, which will be held on Thursday.
Over a full day of keynote addresses, panel discussions and presentations, AI and the applications it powers to provide the most value to financial institutions will be discussed in depth.In the opening session, the Practitioner Innovation Keynote, Lewis Reeder, Senior Director of Enterprise Insights at BNY, will delve into how data management strategies can be built to get the most from AI and to monetise data. He will be in discussion with Mridula Mutharaju, Data and Analytics Lead at NatWest bank.
Chiefs Gather
The following panel discussion, the first of the day, will feature a gathering of Chief Data Officer sand Chief Data Analytics Officers who will take a deep dive into generative AI (GenAI).
Entitled “How to build an GenAI Data Strategy and Operating Model to Mitigate Risk and Deliver Business Value”, the panel will look at the measures data leaders can instigate to ensure the optimisation of outcomes from their AI models.
Speakers will comprise Niresh Rajah, Chief Data and AI Officer at DLA Piper;
Steve Green, EMEA Chief Data and Analytics Officer, as well as Head of EMEA Transformation at Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group; Malavika Solanki, Strategic Change Specialist, formerly of NatWest Markets; Peter Jackson, Global Head of Data Office at Schroders; and, Ruby Paramanathan, Head of Data Strategy at Columbia Threadneedle Investments.
This session will be moderated by Joanne Biggadike, Head of Data Governance at Schroders.
The first keynote fireside chat will see Jérôme Sandron, Head of Data Governance at Belfius and Jean-Paul Otte, EMEA Data Strategy at Precisely talk about the building block of their successful partnership.

The final AI-focused session takes place late in the morning in a the panel meeting entitled “Best Practice Data Management to Sustain and Scale AI, GenAI and LLMs”, which will consider the solutions that can help organisations maintain their AI advantage.
