Behavox, the AI insights company specialising in corporate data analysis, has acquired Mosaic Smart Data, a financial technology firm that enables institutions to extract actionable intelligence from transaction data. The acquisition, completed in December 2024, aims to enhance Behavox’s Trade Surveillance capabilities, set for release in the second half of 2025.

Mosaic Smart Data’s software supports liquidity discovery and decision-making in Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) markets. Its platform aggregates, normalises, and analyses transaction data using AI-driven models and is deployed by major global capital markets institutions, including JPMorgan and ING.

Erkin Adylov, CEO of Behavox, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome the Mosaic Smart Data team to Behavox and excited about the enhanced capabilities our integrated offering will deliver to customers. This acquisition enables us to integrate commercial insights from Behavox, such as Indications of Interest (IOIs) and Request for Quotes (RFQs), into Mosaic Smart Data – across both text and voice”

Behavox plans to integrate Mosaic’s analytics expertise into its upcoming Trade Surveillance system, which will be cloud-native, highly scalable, and powered by Behavox LLM. The system will also integrate with Behavox’s existing solutions, including Quantum (electronic communication surveillance) and Intelligent Archive (regulatory archiving).

With the acquisition of Mosaic Smart Data, Behavox has expanded its integrated product ecosystem. The company’s existing solutions include Quantum, an electronic communication surveillance platform, and Intelligent Archive, a regulatory archiving solution. Additionally, Pathfinder provides AI-powered knowledge and policy management, while Mosaic Smart Data enhances front-office analytics for FICC teams. Looking ahead, Behavox plans to launch its Trade Surveillance system in 2025, further strengthening its capabilities in market surveillance and compliance.

Matthew Hodgson, CEO of Mosaic Smart Data, commented: “We are excited to join Behavox at a time when AI adoption in financial markets is accelerating. Customers increasingly seek AI-driven insights to analyse pre-trade journeys and extract intelligence from communication data to help them make more money. Mosaic Smart Data will be the first company to offer FICC desks a comprehensive view of market activity, integrating both transaction and communication data.”

Integration efforts between the two firms are progressing ahead of schedule, with Behavox customers encouraged to contact their Customer Success representative for more details on Mosaic Smart Data’s solutions.
