Tom Dalglish Switches Role to Head HSBC’s Innovation Labs

Tom Dalglish has switched from the role of senior data and integration manger – IT transformation at HSBC to become the bank’s head of technical services – applied innovation. In his new role, Dalglish is responsible for industrialising the bank’s global Innovation Labs and researching and developing emerging technologies such as blockchain, cyber security, financial crime, data science, machine learning and digital identity.

Dalglish brings over 25 years of developing, deploying and supporting global systems to his new role, as well as expertise in reference and market data management, legal entity and hierarchy data, and high-frequency data capture.

He joined HSBC in February 2016 as senior data integration manager, building on a career spanning senior roles at firms including SmartStream Technologies, iGate Global Solutions, UBS and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In January 2016, Dalglish founded GadgIT Systems, a specialist software company providing federated data delivery systems, strategic computing platforms, digital notary consultancy and data integration.
