Fixed income trading and risk management system vendor RiskVal has integrated Markit’s industry standard pricing and reference data into its Credit-X trading platform. Jordan Hu, CEO of RiskVal, explains that the integration of Markit’s data onto the platform is aimed at simplifying the investment management process for credit instruments.

The alliance is aimed at creating a platform that delivers improved risk analysis tools including real-time profit and loss management, more accurate data entry and superior credit event management, say the vendors. Hu explains: “The integration of Markit’s data and pricing into Credit-X creates a best of breed credit trading system that simplifies the investment management process for a wide range of credit instruments.”

Accordingly a number of Markit’s products and services have been integrated into the Credit-X trading platform, including Markit RED for CDS and LCDS, Markit Quotes, Markit Intraday, Markit Indices, and Markit’s CDS and LCDS spread services.

Armins Rusis, executive vice president and co-head of fixed income at Markit, reckons the platform delivers a consistent view of risk and return to the front, middle and back office. “It truly empowers buy side firms to act on accurate and timely internal and external information,” he adds.

Credit-X is available as a remotely managed software as a service (SaaS) or as an enterprise solution.
