With treasurers taking on more risk and regulatory initiatives since the global financial crisis, Reval, a provider of software as a service (SaaS) solutions for corporate financial risk management, announced today that it has hired three new solution consultants in North America. The new hires join Reval’s global team of experts guiding treasurers in hedging strategies focused on mitigating risk, increasing transparency, and enhancing profitability globally.

Joining Reval is Sharon Ching, Priya Kurian, and Shane Randolph, each of whom will be working closely with Krishnan Iyengar, Chairman of Reval’s Hedge Accounting Technical Taskforce and the company’s Risk Management Taskforce. Collectively, their experience ranges from positions in corporate treasury and financial institutions to advisory and big four accounting firms.

“These professionals possess a blend of practitioner’s experience and advisory insight, which is invaluable in helping treasurers interpret the complexities of changing regulatory requirements, consider various strategies for mitigating risk, and get the most out of Reval’s SaaS solution to achieve results they didn’t even know were possible,” says Iyengar. “We are happy to have each one of them join Reval’s solution consulting team.”

Sharon Ching will be based in San Francisco. She brings experience from various treasury organisations across different industries, such as Electronics, Retail, Technology and Transportation, in positions at companies such as Samsung, Avnet, Levi Strauss, leading SaaS technology provider Salesforce.com and MV Transportation. Prior to her roles in corporate treasury, she worked as a Senior Consultant (Risk Consulting) at Andersen LLP advising corporate treasury clients on all risk management matters and as an auditor with KPMG LLP. Priya Kurian joins Reval from Canadian mining company Barrick Gold, where she gained strong derivative risk management and hedge accounting experience. Kurian also worked at Deloitte auditing Canadian financial institutions, and will be working from Reval’s Toronto office. Covering the Western region of the U.S., Shane Randolph brings deep energy hedging experience from his positions in the commodity space at Sirius Solutions and from his work in accounting policy at OneOK and as an auditor at KPMG.
