QuantHouse Adds Exchange Data International to API Ecosystem

Subscribe to our newsletter

QuantHouse has added Exchange Data International (EDI) to the qh API Ecosystem it established last September as a framework for fintech firms to offer their products as on-demand solutions available through open APIs, and API based users, particularly hedge funds and automated trading firms, to access trading solutions without the complexity of integration.

The addition of EDI allows firms integrated with the QuantHouse ecosystem to access EDI’s securities reference data and end of day pricing services designed to enhance a quant’s trading decisions. Data coming into the ecosystem is normalised, ensuring services can be rapidly and widely distributed to the qh API Ecosystem community.

Jonathan Bloch, CEO at EDI, says: “The QuantHouse model offers an open and flexible API- enabled framework that we anticipate will increase the distribution reach of our data reference services. QuantHouse’s API Ecosystem removes the complexity of API build and allows customers to access EDI on demand and within a faster implementation time.”

Pierre Feligioni, co-founder and CEO at QuantHouse, adds: “EDI is a valuable addition to the QuantHouse Ecosystem. Traders need access to complete reference data services at an efficient price point. As the original cost of API build has been born by QuantHouse, the frictional costs of adoption of services such as EDI’s are reduced and there is no need for members to set up subsequent APIs to access additional services in the future.”

The challenges arise from siloed systems, manual processes and poor entity data quality. The potential benefits of successful implementation include excellent client experience, improved client acquisition and loyalty, new business opportunities, reductions in costs, competitive advantage, and confidence in compliance.
