Pricing Partners and Belatos Limited Team Up for Broad Distribution of Price-it Solution Suites in Asia

Pricing Partners has established a distribution agreement with a new partner, Belatos Limited. The distributor will deliver Pricing Partners’ full solution suites throughout the entire Asia Pacific region. First line support will be provided out of Belatos’ Hong Kong office.

The promising Asian market is growing at a high rate. Independent valuation services and tools for financial derivatives are also becoming a crucial concern. For Pricing Partners, this partnership will allow it to expand its initial footprint to Asia, distribute and expand its proximity to the Asian client base.

The distributor Belatos is specialised in the development, distribution and support of financial software across the Asia Pacific region. Headed by Didier Joannas, former sales director of different software providers such as SunGard and Thomson Reuters in Asia since 2000, Belatos will represent Pricing Partners and deliver its innovative solution suites including Price-it Library and Price-it Online in Asia.

Didier Joannas, managing director at Belatos, stated, “Recent events have shown us that regional banks, hedge funds, asset managers and insurance companies alike cannot rely exclusively on the pricing given by the entities who sell them derivatives anymore. Furthermore, regulators and auditors are pushing market players to have their own in-house pricing tools or, at the very least, to have an independent valuation partner. Pricing Partners has recently been the fastest growing provider of analytics for exotics and structured derivatives products in Europe. Many tier-one institutions are directly using the Price-It solution and recommending it to their clients and counterparts. This is why Pricing Partners should swiftly become the valuation partner of choice for many institutions in the Asia-Pacific region as well.”

Xavier Deschamps, managing director at Pricing Partners, added, “Working with highly qualified and experienced people in this region guarantees our Asian clients that our solution will be appropriately incorporated into their local requirements. It is also a great opportunity for us to work with Didier who has an extensive understanding and background in this region. The next step in Asia will be the opening of a Pricing Partners office, with dedicated client support services to deliver high quality client support.”
