Eagle Investment Systems, a provider of financial services technology and a subsidiary of BNY Mellon, today announced PRP Performa is live in production with the Eagle suite, which includes data management, investment accounting and performance measurement solutions. STP Investment Services, provider of mid- and back office investment services including technology consulting, assisted with the implementation.

With more than US$2 billion in assets under management, Performa manages investments for captive insurance and reinsurance companies. In addition to running its core investment processes, Performa is leveraging Eagle to facilitate accounting and administration, data management, GIPS composite management, fixed income performance attribution, and client reporting. By interfacing with an industry leading trading platform, Eagle is able to process transactions from the front to middle and back office in real-time, improving the timeliness of data to Performa’s entire business.

“This is Performa’s third major investment system integration in the past 10 years and has proven to be the smoothest. Although we moved from a highly automated environment, the gains we have realised from working with Eagle suite have been substantial,” said Gary LeBlanc, CPA, chief operating officer at PRP Performa. “We have achieved significant efficiencies in our daily procedures and with our investment management platform, particularly when compared to our old accounting system.”

“Performa chose Eagle because it provided data management, investment accounting and performance measurement capabilities on one platform,” said John Lehner, president and CEO of Eagle. “We continue to see investment management firms shift to hosted and outsourced solutions, which allows them access to powerful applications without the burden of managing these systems.”

The Eagle platform has been hosted via Eagle ACCESS, Eagle’s application service provider, and Performa’s middle and back office operations have been outsourced to STP Investment Services. By coupling these services, Performa is able to focus its efforts on core competencies of investment management and superior client service.

“The flexibility and scalability of Eagle’s comprehensive solution, interfaced with an industry leading order management system, provides a technology platform that positions Performa well for future growth, more timely client service, and lower maintenance costs via straight-thru processing,” said Patrick Murray, president of STP Investment Services, Inc.
