Gresham Technologies Gears Up with New Sales Appointment
Data integrity and control software provider Gresham Technologies has appointed Mark Bolton as its new Head of International Sales to spearhead its global growth plans. Bolton will be responsible for directing the firm’s sales strategy across Asia and North America, and identifying target market segments for expansion across the entire Clareti platform. Prior to joining Gresham, he held senior sales leadership positions at SunGard and FIS where he was instrumental in overseeing the growth of the reconciliation sales organisation in both Europe and the US. The announcement comes off the back of successful 2019 results in which Gresham reported a 30% increase in Group revenues to £25m and twelve new Clareti wins.
SteelEye Appoints Rob Bernstein as Chief Financial Officer
Compliance technology and data analytics firm SteelEye has confirmed the hire of Rob Bernstein as its new CFO. He joins from RegTek Solutions, which was acquired by Bloomberg in August 2019, where he was CFO since February 2018. Bernstein has more than 10 years’ experience as a finance executive, formerly with London-based tech firm TIM Group, where he held the position of CFO for seven years. In his new position he will lead SteelEye’s financial operations, reporting directly to CEO Matt Smith.
AxiomSL Establishes Business Operations Centre in Ireland
Regulatory reporting and risk management solutions provider AxiomSL is opening a new business operations centre in the National Technology Park in Limerick, Ireland, with plans to create up to 100 jobs over the next five years. The centre will initially house technical support and product management for AxiomSL’s RegCloud offering, and is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland – the agency responsible for the attraction and retention of inward foreign direct investment into Ireland.
Giles Nelson Departs MarkLogic
Giles Nelson, former Chief Technology and Strategy Officer, Financial Services at MarkLogic, has departed the firm as of December 2019. A-Team Group understands that MarkLogic will not be replacing him in the position. Nelson, who has not yet indicated his next move, joined the firm in August 2018. He previously held the role of Senior Vice President of Product Strategy and Marketing at Software AG, prior to which he was Vice President of Products at Progress Software.
New CEO For ACA Compliance Group
Global GRC specialist ACA Compliance Group has appointed Shvetank Shah as CEO, effective from today. Shah joins the firm from Gartner, where he spent 17 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of its Technology & Service Provider practice. Shvetank will be based in ACA’s Silver Spring, MD office, and will oversee all global operations and the corporate growth strategy. The previous Group CEO of ACA Compliance was its founder, Robert Stype, who oversaw the firm’s acquisition of Cordium last year and subsequently moved to the position of Executive Chairman in June 2019.
Oliver White Departs Fenergo for Enveil
After almost six years with Fenergo as UK Head of Sales, Oliver White has moved over to take up the position of EMEA Head of Sales with data security specialist Enveil, pioneer of protecting Data in Use. Before joining Fenergo in 2014, White spent eight years with Avox as UK Head of Sales, and was formerly Senior Account Manager with Alacra.
Refinitiv Hires Andrea Remyn Stone as Chief Customer Proposition Officer
Financial markets data and infrastructure giant Refinitiv has appointed Andrea Remyn Stone as Chief Customer Proposition Officer and member of the Executive Leadership team, reporting to CEO David Craig. Joining from Dealogic, where she was the Chief Strategy Officer, she will focus on working with customers to develop innovative solutions in open platform technology collaboration across the Refinitiv portfolio, including the Refinitiv Data Platform and associated products. Prior to Dealogic, Andrea spent five years at Bloomberg as Global Head of Strategy and Corporate Development, and before that was McGraw-Hill’s Managing Director of Standard and Poor’s Investment Research and Advisory Services. ““I am excited to be joining Refinitiv at such a crucial time for data-services and evolution of financial market infrastructure,” she says.
NYDFS Seeks New RegTech Director for Supervisory Push
The New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), which regulates finance and cryptocurrency activities in New York State, is seeking a Director within its Research and Innovation Division to design, build, and manage a program to facilitate the testing of RegTech solutions to improve its supervision of regulated entities. The regulator is taking inspiration from efforts by other regulators, including the Bank of England, which the NYDFS specifically references for its initiative to enlist technology companies in the rapid testing of promising solutions.
Pirum Expands SFTR Team as April Deadline Approaches
Automated reconciliations provider Pirum Systems has bolstered its SFTR team with the hire of of industry experts Glenn Baldwin, Payal Lakhani, James Cosh, and Pradeep Rana. Baldwin joins from JP Morgan with 15 years of securities finance expertise. Lakhani was formerly with Citi, while Cosh spent 20 years in roles at Deutsche Bank, Nomura, Lehman Brothers and Saxo Bank. Rana spent seven years at JP Morgan as a PB Client Service Manager. Pirum’s joint SFTR solution in partnership with IHS Markit has over 60 clients already mandated, with a further 20 expected to give the green light this month.
Indigita Appoints Achille Deodato as CEO
Swiss regtech firm Indigita has announced Achille Deodato as its new CEO. Leading teams based in Geneva, Zurich and Lisbon, Deodato will be responsible for the future development of the firm’s digital cross-border compliance solutions. He joins Indigita from a Zurich-based electronic identity solution provider, where he held the role of chief operating officer. He was formerly senior project manager at a consulting company, and chief commercial officer in a Geneva-based bank. Indigita is owned by swiss regulatory risk management firm BRP Bizzozero & Partners.
