SmartStream appointed Richard Nicholas as director of professional services, APAC. (Smartstream press release.)

StatPro announced Dr Ian Thompson has joined the group as client integration director. (StatPro press release.)

Liquid Holdings Group announced the appointments of financial services industry veterans Jeremy Shaw, Richard Boesch and Isaac Babani to senior financial engineers in the firm’s risk analytics team. (Liquid press release.)

Thomson Reuters announced that Chris Carlstead has joined the organization as managing director of ONESOURCE Indirect and Property Tax solutions. (Thomson Reuters press release.)

CME hired (my former work colleague) Ross Stuart as senior director of information products management. CME Group also announced executive team appointments with several staff assuming new roles. Bryan T. Durkin will take on a newly created role as chief commercial officer. Kim Taylor, will lead all of the company’s operational functions globally (Clearing, Operations, Technology and Platform Development) as president, global operations, technology & risk. Derek Sammann will be responsible for leading the firm’s energy, metals and agricultural products teams as senior managing director, commodity and options products. Sean Tully will oversee CME Group interest rate, equity, foreign exchange and OTC businesses as senior managing director, financial and OTC products. Robert Zagotta will be responsible for the development and execution of the company’s corporate strategy as senior managing director, strategy & execution. (CME press release.) MTS Markets, a London Stock Exchange Group company, announced that MTS Bonds.com has appointed Amanda Meatto as head of buy-side credit sales. (MTS press release.)
