Investment accounting solutions vendor Pendo Systems has formed an exclusive strategic alliance with buy side data management solution vendor Data Agent to deliver an integrated solution aimed at streamlining data management for financial services firms. The two firms are attempting to provide customers with a multi-dimensional platform on which to manage their investment data.

The platform is aimed at enabling users to proactively measure financial data, such as issuer and counterparty exposure and overall portfolio risk and is for use by portfolio managers, risk officers and compliance officers, say the vendors. The solution is built on the Microsoft .Net platform and toolset and integrates into the entire Microsoft suite.

“The suite of Data Agent products is a perfect complement to Pendo Systems, and we will provide advanced data integration, data access and reporting capabilities to better support financial services firms,” says Pendo Systems founder and CEO Pamela Pecs Cytron. “By working closely with Data Agent, our customers now have the ability to seamlessly access their critical accounting information in any format and at any time. It also allows for simplicity of data management for custom and ad hoc reporting.”

Thuyen Nguyen, Founder and chief technology officer of Data Agent, adds: “The combination of Data Agent with Pendo Systems creates a turnkey solution for managing the investment lifecycle. Data Agent has an innovative approach to data access and reporting and combined with the BasisPoint application we will provide our customers with a superior, integrated data intelligence solution.”
