Following last month’s slew of data management related appointments, post-trade specialist Omgeo has appointed yet another executive to its management team. Given its focus on recruitment at the moment, it seems fitting that the new appointment will be in charge of its human resources strategy and practices. Joanne Hogan will therefore be responsible for ensuring the firm’s people related strategies are aligned with Omgeo’s core business objectives.

Based in Boston, Hogan has been appointed as managing director and will report to Marianne Brown, president and CEO of Omgeo. She will direct human resources operations including staffing, employee relations, policy development, compensation, benefits, organisational development and communication. According to Omgeo, Hogan will manage organisational growth while focusing on change management, leadership development, talent management and organisational design.

Hogan hopes to bring her experience from the client side of the community to bear on her new role. Prior to joining Omgeo, she was managing director global head, human resources in the investment banking department at Credit Suisse in New York. This role followed two years heading HR for their operations department based in London.

She has also previously held leadership positions in the UK with Merrill Lynch, Salomon Brothers International Limited and Bankers Trust Company.
