Marketing Manager Mott Departs CMA, Mazzone Assumes Duties

It seems to be the season for people moves; what with the changes going on at Xtrakter and this week’s departure of Credit Market Analysis’ (CMA) marketing manager Simon Mott. After two and a half years at the credit derivatives data provider and a month after the management changeover from outgoing CEO Laurent Paulhac to ex-Icap managing director Antoine Kohler, Mott is off to pastures new.

In light of Mott’s departure, current vice president of product management and marketing Anna Mazzone will be covering his marketing duties. Mazzone joined CMA back in December last year from Markit Group, where she held marketing and sales responsibilities for its MiFID trade reporting solution MarkitBoat for a period of more than two and a half years. Prior to this, she held positions at both SuperDerivatives and Reuters.

Reference Data Review last spoke to Mazzone back in February about the vendor’s partnership with Fitch Solutions around the credit default swap pricing market for CME Group.

CME Group bought CMA in March 2008 and then transferred Paulhac from the subsidiary to its own executive management team in September 2009, as managing director of OTC products and services. In light of Paulhac’s departure, the vendor spent the next nine months looking for a suitable replacement and chose Kohler on the strength of his experience in the derivatives market.
