Interactive Data Corporation, a provider of financial market data, analytics and related solutions, today announced that it has significantly expanded the depth and breadth of global content available to wealth managers and financial advisors via PrimeTerminal Professional, its customisable financial desktop solution.

PrimeTerminal now offers access to a vast wealth of independent fixed income evaluated pricing, securities pricing and reference data for more than 6 million instruments. This complements the wide range of global real-time, intra-day and historical data, reference data, charts, analytics and news that is already available through PrimeTerminal.

According to a recent report by Celent, wealth managers have turned to market data content providers and aggregators to remain knowledgeable about market news and gain deeper insight into market analysis. The right level of data can allow a financial institution’s clients to manage their investments better. The report also says that market data providers now look to provide one source of information, all in one place, through a single sign-on in order to meet the needs of wealth managers.

“PrimeTerminal’s wide range of market data, analytical tools and portfolio monitoring features can be specifically tailored to the needs of wealth managers to support them in their advisory processes,” said Carsten Dirks, global managing director of Wealth Management Products. “By continuously enhancing the desktop’s data coverage, we can help users to meet their evolving requirements in the area of wealth management.”

“Interactive Data is a market leader in providing fixed income evaluated pricing and reference data, including thinly-traded or complex securities,” added Mark Hepsworth, president, Institutional Business at Interactive Data. “We are pleased to be able to further strengthen PrimeTerminal by making available an extensive range of fixed income evaluated pricing and reference data to help wealth managers and advisors more effectively understand market trends and monitor their clients’ portfolios.”

Interactive Data is a leading provider of independent evaluated pricing services, delivering daily evaluations for more than 2.8 million fixed income and international equity issues. The Company’s evaluations coverage spans a broad range of instruments and represents approximately 100 countries and 30 different currencies. Over 5,000 financial institutions worldwide, from central banks to large investment banks, subscribe to Interactive Data’s evaluated prices to support pricing activities, research and portfolio management. The enhanced coverage now offered via PrimeTerminal includes seamless access to the breadth and depth of content available via FTSSM, Interactive Data’s securities administration tool.
