ICE on the Hunt for Credit Derivatives Clearing Counterparty Head

Following the announcement of its intention to buy Clearing Corporation last week, IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) has indicated that it is currently searching for a suitable candidate to head its credit derivatives clearing counterparty venture. The exchange operator is planning to launch its global clearing platform for credit default swaps (CDSs) later this month.

It is likely that ICE will select an individual from the credit derivatives business and the appointment process will need to be swift, if the chief exec candidate is to be in place for the launch.
