Horizon Opens Gateways to Cryptocurrency Exchanges

Subscribe to our newsletter

Horizon Software has extended its trading platform to provide users with the option of trading Bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies such as Ether, Ripple and Litecoin. The company offers native gateways for connecting to the main cryptocurrency exchanges, including Kraken, Bitstamp, Bitfinex and GDAX, and will be adding access to other exchanges in the future.

The gateways are developed within Horizon’s connectivity framework, offering over 20 value-added trading services such as pre-trade risk management, trade reporting and Drop Copy – Drop Copy 4.0 is a risk management service designed to facilitate real-time monitoring of trading activity on the CME Globex platform.

Sylvain Thieullent, Horizon CEO, says: “Our clients are engaging with Horizon for cryptocurrency trading. Although cryptocurrencies have been around for a while, the successful launch in December of BTC Futures on CBOE and CME represents a strong signal of institutional recognition from market participants. The cryptocurrency market capitalisation will reach $1 trillion in 2018, which shows that this is a very exciting market for us.”
