Tradar, a software provider to the hedge fund industry, has created an interface to link its portfolio management and accounting platform to Thomson Reuters’ reference and historical pricing systems. According to the software vendor, the move is a reaction to increased customer demand for Thomson Reuters’ data.

Tony Swei, CEO, Tradar, explains: “Recently, we’ve found ourselves being approached by a growing number of hedge funds asking us for a wider choice of data providers and, in particular, for data from Thomson Reuters.”

The newly created interface will allow Tradar customers to use Reuters Datascope real-time pricing data via Tradar Insight’s live P&L monitoring function, says the vendor. Tradar customers can also access Reuters DataScope Select’s range of reference data, end of day pricing information and corporate action details.
