Fitch Solutions, a division of the Fitch Group focusing on the development of fixed income products and services, and Pricing Partners, an independent valuation, today announced a strategic partnership allowing users of Pricing Partners’ Price-it Solution with Fitch Solutions market data license to access seamlessly Fitch Solutions’ market data on OTC credit derivatives.

The partnership will allow the easy integration of credit default swap (CDS) spreads market data from Fitch Solutions into Price-it Excel, Pricing Partners’ cross asset independent valuation platform. This will thus enable Price-it Excel users to access and use the Fitch Solutions’ market data source for CDS spreads on single name and index.

The combination of Fitch Solutions data and Pricing Partners cutting edge valuation tools will therefore allow market players to produce accurate valuations on their credit derivatives portfolios.

Ian Rothery, global head of strategic partnerships of Fitch Solutions, added: “Pricing Partners is a key industry player and this partnership is a natural fit which further underscores Fitch Solutions’ position as a leading data vendor. It will broaden market access to Fitch’s CDS data, providing more users with greater transparency on pricing in OTC credit markets, and we look forward greatly to working with Pricing Partners.”

Eric Benhamou, CEO of Pricing Partners, commented: “It’s an honour for us to work in partnership with Fitch Solutions. Market data are a key element in the valuation. Today, it is critical that our clients gain access to recognised and reliable market data. The various advantages under this partnership will allow our clients to quickly integrate and connect the flow of Fitch Solutions to our models and thereby obtain very accurate valuations on their credit derivatives at the use of Price-it Excel.”
