First Derivatives Hires MD, Global Sales for Reference Data Solutions

First Derivatives, a provider of software and consulting services to global investment banks and hedge funds this morning announced the addition of Bret Bange to its management team. Based in NY, Bret will head global sales and marketing of FD’s suite of reference data solutions, which are marketed under the Group’s “Delta” product brand.

As part of FD’s data management solutions expansion, Bret will report to Dale Richards, who heads FD’s data strategy and is President of FD Americas. The addition signals First Derivatives increasing data management capabilities across reference data, time-series and tick data including integration software and hosted solutions. Bret will initially be focused on leveraging FD’s significant reference data management capabilities addressing the data-centric requirements of clients enterprise, trading, credit/market risk, and back/mid office applications.

Bret is a successful industry player coming to FD from GoldenSource where he was a senior sales director in the reference and enterprise data management space. Prior to GoldenSource, Bret was with Scivantage as VP, sales, where he developed and led a national sales organisation in marketing front and middle office technology solutions to clients in the financial services industry. Prior to Scivantage he was with ADP/Broadridge as VP sales, selling back office processing services to clients in the securities and banking industries.
