DST Global Solutions Appoints Vice President of Sales and Marketing

DST Global Solutions, a leading provider of technology solutions to the financial services industry, has appointed Rick McCarthy as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Americas. McCarthy’s primary role will be to lead new business development activities for the company’s investment management solutions, Askari, HiPerformance and HiNet, as well as AWD, its business process management solution. McCarthy will also be responsible for marketing strategy and execution for the region.

McCarthy commented, “I have been following the progress of DST Global Solutions and its parent, DST Systems, for a number of years and have been impressed by the company’s expertise and the quality of its solutions internationally. I am excited to have the opportunity to help drive sales and marketing initiatives and assist taking the company to the next level.”

McCarthy joins the company with an impressive track record built up over the past 20 years in senior sales and marketing management roles in the financial software industry. In this time McCarthy has accumulated extensive knowledge in the domains of financial risk, energy risk, and business process management. He started his career with SunGard and has held several senior positions including Vice President of Product Management, Vice President of Asia Pacific and President of SunGard affiliate Renaissance Software. McCarthy holds a Masters degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He will report directly to Walt Laliberte, the Managing Director of the Americas for DST Global Solutions.

Commenting on the appointment, Laliberte said, “We are rapidly extending the functionality and power of our solutions for both the data management and analytics and asset servicing in our investment management market. We are therefore renewing our efforts in taking our newly enhanced solutions to market. I am delighted to have Rick join our team to drive our sales and marketing initiatives to achieve our business growth objectives in the coming years.”
