Diarmuid O’Donovan Steps up to the Plate at Rimes

Diarmuid O’Donovan, ex chief data officer at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), has returned to the capital markets industry as chief operating officer at Rimes Technologies. O’Donovan left LGIM early this year and joins Rimes to support the company’s buy-side managed data services.

At LGIM, O’Donovan was responsible for delivering an enterprise-wide information management capability. Before working at LGIM, he was global head of data at UBS Asset Management, where he was a senior member of the middle and back office management team responsible for pricing, benchmarks, corporate actions and data management. He also held several senior roles during a 10-year career at JPMorgan.

Rimes’ chief operating officer since 2010, Mitesh Modi, moves to the position of chief financial officer. Modi was previously chief operating officer and chief financial officer at NewFinance Capital Asset Management. He has also held senior positions at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch.
