Talking Intelligent Trading with Andrew Delaney: Three Keynotes You Need to Hear

Subscribe to our newsletter

This week, we’ve been banging on about the lineup for our inaugural Intelligent Trading Summit in London next Tuesday, offering a bit of a taster of what to expect from the day’s panel discussions. It’s worth pointing out, though, that we’ve also managed to line up some great keynote presentations from industry people we have a lot of respect for.

As I’ve mentioned before, we are delighted to welcome Alessandro Petroni, Senior Principal Architect, Financial Services, at Tibco Software, who’ll open proceedings with a presentation on An Architecture for Intelligent Trading. Alessandro will be setting the scene for the subsequent panel discussion on implementing an intelligent trading architecture, but also for the whole day. Alessandro will be drawing from the white paper we co-wrote with him on this topic last year.

Just before lunch, we’ll hear from Steve Grob, Director of Group Strategy, at Fidessa, who’ll be offering A Vision for Intelligent Trading in the 21st Century. We have worked with Steve and the team at Fidessa for many years, and we’re excited to have them aboard as our industry considers the next generation of trading systems.

Finally, after lunch, Steve Wilcockson, Industry Manager, Financial Services, at Mathworks, will look at the Human Resources Conundrum: Addressing the Skill Set Gap in Trading Technology & Analytics. It’s a topic we often talk about offline, but it’s rarely discussed in a more formal setting. So I’m looking forward to hearing from Steve as he shares the results of a recent survey commissioned by Mathworks – a household name in the world of trading analytics – titled Risking the Future, which looks at how prepared graduates are for the world of high finance and supporting technologies.
