Following the unanimous approval for the merger of the three companies SWX Group, SIS Group and Telekurs Group, the new Swiss Financial Market Services Group has appointed Peter Gomez (to date chairman of the SWX Association as well as the board of directors of the SWX Group) as chairman of the board. The board will run with a “user-owned, user-governed” structure in which all owner groups will be represented. In addition to seven representatives of banks, there will be three additional members with seats on the board. The body will comprise 10 individuals with a proposal being made that Urs Rüegsegger be appointed CEO. He has been head of the executive committee of the St. Galler Kantonalbank since 2001.
