Multi-manager hedge fund Polymer Capital Management has made a long-term strategic data and technology partnership with Bloomberg to accelerate growth. Polymer Capital is an Asian-focused multi-manager platform located across six offices in Asia-Pacific, and will use Bloomberg’s data and technology solutions including the firm’s real-time market data feed, B-PIPE; its market-driven credit worthiness indicator, MIPD; compliance and surveillance solution, BVAULT; and Data License. The companies are also looking at expanding the partnership to include Bloomberg’s data science and analytics platform, BQuant Enterprise, and its ESG data sets.

The aim of the partnership is to streamline Polymer Capital’s complex investment workflow and support its portfolio managers’ strategies and data needs. It is the first hedge fund platform in Asia to set up a data and technology partnership with Bloomberg. Angus Wai, founder, CEO and CIO at Polymer Capital, comments: “Growing our business at speed and scale requires the use of consistent, high quality data as well as integrated technologies throughout our enterprise.”
