LakefrontData Creates Data Management Industry Jobs Website

Against a backdrop of widespread redundancies and an increasingly competitive employment market, LakefrontData has launched a website specifically targeted at advertising jobs for the data management industry. According to the vendor, which was created from the merger of LakeFront Data Ventures (LDV) and data integration vendor ReferenceDataFactory (RDF) earlier this year, data management professionals can now post or find a job on Lakefront Data Jobs.

Dale Richards, CEO of LakefrontData, explains: “It’s no longer necessary to spend hours sifting through all-purpose sites such as Monster or Craiglist. Lakefront Data Jobs has just one purpose: to meet the unique job search needs of employers and data management professionals. It’s confidential, secure and absolutely free for data management professionals and those wanting to enter the industry.”

The service is initially free of charge for employers until February 2009 and secure registration is required to post or search for a job, says the vendor. It has also received endorsement from the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Council and will offer product specific searching, data management skills, data subject matter expertise, data skilled functions and leadership roles.

According to LakefrontData, the website also facilitates searching and matching via more than 75 data management skill areas and provides confidential contact to a counterparty within the data management community.
