KX Offers Data Timehouse Platform on Microsoft Azure

FD Technologies, which acquired Kx Systems in 2018, has announced general availability of kdb Insights Enterprise on Microsoft Azure, an enterprise ready, real-time analytics engine with the kdb time series database (kdb) at its core, and running natively on Azure. FD says the solution represents the industry’s first Data Timehouse, a new class of data and AI management platform designed for temporal data generated by digital transformation.

The Data Timehouse is a milestone in FD’s strategic partnership with Microsoft that was struck in 2022. Engineered by KX, the platform is designed to provide data scientists and application developers with precision access to temporal data on real-time and massive historical datasets with Azure native tools, and can enable businesses to transform into real-time intelligent enterprises. Preview customers report up to 100x the performance at one tenth of the cost of competing solutions.

“This first-party service is a watershed moment for KX. Representing the industry’s first Data Timehouse, it enriches data warehouse and lakehouse technologies and gives customers access to the power and performance of kdb with all the benefits of the Azure platform. It enables companies to accelerate AI and ML analytics workloads, putting data driven decision science at the heart of business,” says KX CEO, Ashok Reddy.
