IPC and GreenKey Collaborate to Convert Real-Time Voice into Useable Data

IPC and GreenKey Technologies are collaborating to bring an artificial intelligence (AI) based speech recognition solution that converts real-time voice into useable data to market. IPC, a provider of compliant communication and networking solutions, and GreenKey Technologies, a creator of voice software with integrated speech recognition designed for financial markets, have been working together since early 2017 on a voice-to-data solution that will enable IPC customers to access audio streams as structured text data.

Uses cases of the solution include integrating high-quality voice streams into compliance, surveillance and business analytics systems, and speeding up front-office workflows, such as voice populating trade tickets and capturing in-stream orders and quotes.

Nader Shwayhat, CEO at GreenKey, says: “We are converting real-time voice off the turret into useable data, leading the industry into a new era of voice-driven workflows and analytics.”

The collaboration brings together IPC’s trading communications expertise and cloud financial ecosystem of over 6,000 market participants with GreenKey’s machine-learning technologies. The solution uses GreenKey’s expertise in developing highly accurate language models specifically designed for complex, noisy financial conversations, and will automatically transcribe all spoken conversations, by extracting quotes and trades from spoken conversations through GreenKey’s natural language processing libraries. The solution will also summarise conversations by extracting insights, such as key terms, key phrases, speaker identities and sentiment.

The collaboration was made as IPC rolled out Unigy 360, a solution that unifies communications across an organisation, from traders, researchers, portfolio and risk managers to surveillance and compliance professionals, technologists, settlement personnel and operations staff, with anytime, anywhere, any device access.
