Interactive Data Corporation has appointed Stephan Wolf, formerly chairman of the executive board of Interactive Data Managed Solutions, as its first company chief technology officer. Carsten Dirks, formerly chief sales officer at its market data division, will succeed Wolf in leading the Interactive Data Managed Solutions business as managing director and chairman of the executive board.

In his newly created, pan-Interactive Data position, Wolf will be responsible for formulating and directing the company’s global information technology strategy to support the company’s data collection, delivery and product development organisations. He will remain in Frankfurt and will report directly to Stuart Clark, Interactive Data’s president and CEO.

Clark explains that Wolf’s appointment is part of Interactive Data’s “one company, one vision” initiative, which is aimed at operating as a single global enterprise. “He brings a unique perspective to this role, having directed extensive collaboration efforts between our Managed Solutions business and Interactive Data’s other businesses over the past two years with a focus on driving innovation and delivering compelling value to our clients.”

Dirks, who succeeds Wolf in leading the Interactive Data Managed Solutions business, will report directly to Mark Hepsworth, president of Interactive Data’s Institutional Business. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing the global management and development for this business, which is managed as part of Interactive Data Real-Time Services.
