Interactive Data Integrates APEX with Asset Control EDM Platform

Interactive Data is working with a number of enterprise data management (EDM) vendors to integrate its APEX pricing and reference data delivery platform with EDM solutions. The first integration is with Asset Control’s AC Plus platform.

The integration of APEX and AC Plus uses an APEX specific connector that adds to Asset Control’s suite of connectors and allows Asset Control users to choose from a range of off-the-shelf adaptors to gain access to Interactive Data’s evaluations and reference data.

APEX was introduced to the market in October 2012 and provides a single data model with one protocol and one connection to many data delivery channels. Hubert Holmes, managing director of reference data at Interactive Data, explains: “Many clients consume data from Interactive Data through EDM platforms, so rather than requiring the EDM vendor to integrate APEX for every client, we have developed a plug-and-play connector that allows Asset Control users to integrate our data at lower cost and in less time.”

Martijn Groot, vice president of product management at Asset Control, adds: “Access to APEX will provide our clients with broader access to high quality data and serves as a significant addition to our data feed handler collection.”

Holmes says Interactive Data is working with other EDM software providers to integrate APEX and expects to release more connectors over the next few months.
