Interactive Data Corporation’s Managed Solutions group has enhanced its financial market terminal, PrimeTerminal Professional Edition, by adding access to original fund prospectuses as an optional service for more than 20,000 funds from various European markets.

As a result of Interactive Data’s collaboration with Austrian funds data supplier Boersensoftware und Datenbankservice and Italian funds data supplier Blue Financial Communication users of PrimeTerminal Professional can now retrieve prospectuses for a wide range of funds from the funds’ respective issuers in the German, Austrian, Italian and Swiss markets.

The fund prospectuses are available as printable PDF files and can be accessed via PrimeTerminal for use with advisory and sales conversations with customers. According to Interactive Data, this new service can enhance bank employees’ efficiency, since they will no longer need to spend time contacting multiple sources to retrieve and organise fund prospectuses.

Interactive Data has indicated that it plans to further expand the range of fund information offered by PrimeTerminal Professional Edition in the future, including fund information for Asian markets and additional information on US funds.

Carsten Dirks, managing director, Interactive Data Managed Solutions, says: “Asset managers and financial advisors need to be able to access adequate fund information in order to assist their customers. Our enhanced PrimeTerminal Professional Edition can now assist with providing quick access to this information from a single source.”
