FOW TRADEdata announced today the integration of CQG instrument codes into its Xymbology product for the futures and options market. Xymbology is an identifier mapping service for exchange-traded futures and options contracts.

CQG is a provider of integrated order execution, charting, and analytics for global, electronically traded futures markets. CQG offers real-time and historical data integrated with graphics, technical analysis tools, and trade routing, serving individual and institutional traders worldwide.

In response to customer needs for high quality cross-mapping of vendor symbology, the Xymbology service continues to build up FOW TRADEdata’s portfolio of instrument identifiers used by ISVs and market data vendors through collaboration with key providers in the futures and options space. CQG futures and options identifiers will be distributed through FOW TRADEdata’s Xymbology service to user firms to enable more product choice and competitive advantage through efficient trade processing of futures and options contracts within a multi-vendor operational environment.

Mark Woolfenden, FOW TRADEdata’s managing director, described the addition of CQG to the Xymbology stable as very timely given the continuing success of CQG in providing competitive alternative pricing services and analytical functionality to a very demanding industry entering a new era of trading change. “We are very pleased to be working with CQG in this genuinely mutual way, where FOW TRADEdata’s specialist skills in outsourced data services and domain expertise in futures and options will complement what CQG has to offer our mutual clients.”

Paul Armer, CQG’s European sales manager, said, “In today’s multi-platform marketplace, where competition is tight, being able to offer traders easy symbology mapping is proving a must-have asset. The addition of Xymbology allows CQG to be part of the wider-growing choice for both private and institutional clients worldwide.”
