Cadis Clients Push Reuters Real-time Data Through EDM Platform

Cadis, a global EDM specialist, has clients pushing fully audited real-time data through its platform. With real-time feeds such as Reuters RMDS already successfully integrated into its EDM suite, Cadis clients are among the few to successfully validate, cleanse and audit their real-time data.

“Most firms still push multiple raw real-time data feeds straight into trading systems and/or customer applications,” said Rik Turner, senior analyst, Ovum. “As data governance becomes more important to financial institutions, pushing such data through EDM systems will become essential. Validation, cleansing and auditing of real-time data has always been a big challenge and is moving further up the agenda as firms increasingly look for successful ways of tracing which piece of real-time data is used where, and from which source.”

One Cadis client is already up and live with Reuters RMDS through the Cadis platform with a further four piloting this new capability. Four prospects are undertaking proof of concepts to trial Cadis’ delivery of real-time data into the EDM platform.

Dan Simpson, CEO, Cadis said: “Where latency is paramount, Cadis clients can push raw data directly through the system. By doing this, users are then able to track any data behind trades and determine the exact source of the data used. Any suspect data is also identified within minutes rather than the norm of hours before it is spotted. Where a 30 second to one minute delay is acceptable and quality trumps speed, Cadis clients will get fully validated and cleansed data. By pushing real-time data through the Cadis EDM suite users also can compare and contrast multiple feeds. This two speed architecture provides Cadis clients with the best of both environments in which to fully manage their real-time data.”

Corporate Actions Europe 2010

The European corporate actions market could be the stage of some pretty heavy duty discussions regarding standards going forward, particularly with regards to the adoption of both XBRL tagging and ISO 20022 messaging. The region’s issuer community, for one, is not going to be easy to convince of the benefits of XBRL tags, given the...
