Asset Control has named Richard Petti, a former SunGard Data Systems executive, as CEO, just two months after the company was acquired by Marlin Equity Partners. Petti replaces interim CEO Dean Goodermote, who took on the role after former CEO Phil Lynch left Asset Control in February 2013 to join SunGard as head of global account management in the company’s asset management business.

Petti joins Asset Control from WEMA Environmental Technology, where he was chief operating officer responsible for the company’s growth as an innovator in environmental compliance software. In a previous nine year stint, Petti led global sales and services for a portfolio of enterprise risk systems at SunGard Data Systems. He will be based at Asset Control’s London office and will lead an employee roster of about 100 staff working with 60 clients.

Commenting on his appointment, Petti says: “Asset Control is a wonderful business that has built an enviable roster of top-tier clients. We will continue to serve them with world-class data management software and services, while looking to accelerate the strategic growth of the business.”
