Art with the A-Team

Alternative investments are proving popular in light of the lack of confidence in some sectors of the financial markets and art has become a rather sought after investment opportunity (see the astronomical prices being paid for Warhol’s work recently for proof). So last week’s A-Team Group event in East Gallery on Brick Lane was more than just a social gathering, it gave attendees the opportunity to scrutinise an up and coming artist’s work (with good company, cocktails and sushi thrown in for free).

We offered a private viewing of A Long Night’s Riot, the next encounter of emerging British artist Sichi’s paintings and illustrations. The artworks in the collection were of portraits, statements, imagined characters and the creatures inhabiting Sichi’s dystopian world. Attendees were certainly varied in their responses to the works (art is subjective after all), but everyone seemed to have a great time – as you can see from a selection of photos from the night below. We look forward to seeing many of you at another A-Team Art event next year!
