Archax Launches US Digital Broker-Dealer; Taps tZERO for Custody, Clearing and Secondary Trading

Archax Group, which already operates a regulated digital asset platform in the UK and EU, has received approval from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), completing its registration as a US digital broker-dealer with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It has also arranged for tZERO Group units to give Archax clients access to a range of services.

Once its Archax Markets broker-dealer is operational (which is expected to be this quarter), it will be authorised to offer private placements of both traditional and digital securities, including tokenised real-world assets (RWAs), to US institutional and accredited investors.

Significantly, the firm’s registration allows it to chaperone non-US broker dealer offerings of both traditional and digital securities private placement offerings in the US for Major US Institutional Investors (MUSSI) and US Institutional Investors.

The US approval positions Archax to serve growing institutional demand for tokenised RWAs, as US policymakers and regulators move toward a clear legislative framework for digital asset markets..

Graham Rodford, CEO and co-founder of Archax, comments: “The Archax vision has always been global, regulated, institutional-grade access to RWAs. We want to continue to help support institutional market participants’ transition from traditional to digital assets and give them the regulated tools and services they need to do that. The US is the deepest pool of institutional demand for tokenised assets and Archax is now one of the few firms with directly regulated status across all three major Western jurisdictions.”

In line with its vision, Archax Markets will also invite experienced and specialised independent registered representatives that are interested in participating in the digital asset arena to register with its firm. By affiliating with Archax Markets, registered representatives will gain access to digital asset securities capabilities and knowledge that few existing broker-dealers can offer, enabling them to bring tokenised real-world assets to their own clients and investor networks.

As part of its US offering, and building on a strategic partnership established in October 2025, Archax Markets has also created correspondent clearing arrangements with tZERO Securities and tZERO Digital Asset Securities that establishes Archax as an ‘introducing broker’. Collectively, these relationships will give Archax Markets’ clients broader access to both traditional and digital asset services – including custody, escrow, and secondary trading via the tZERO Securities ATS.

“Archax’s U.S. approval is an important step in expanding institutional access to tokenised assets, and tZERO provides the regulated infrastructure needed to help translate that opportunity into an operational offering,” says Alan Konevsky, Chief Executive Officer of tZERO. “This relationship demonstrates our Infrastructure-as-a-Service model in action: enabling financial institutions to enter digital asset securities markets through established custody, clearing and trading capabilities rather than having to build the full stack themselves.”

For Archax, which was founded in 2018 by a group of TradFi experts, the US approval continues its international expansion, including the acquisition of a broker in Spain for access to the EU region and establishment of an entity in Dubai to provide a UAE base. Archax supports all types of digital assets, from unregulated cryptocurrencies through to regulated tokenised RWAs. Its services include token issuance and fundraising through to trading and custody.
