The dust had hardly settled on the ‘news’ that former Thomson Reuters Enterprise group chief Jon Robson had left to join NYSE Technologies as CEO – still unconfirmed as of this time of writing – when we learned that his right hand man for the past several years, Enterprise Content head Gerry Buggy, was following in his footsteps.

That Buggy could be headed to NYSE Technologies is also unconfirmed. But the fact he’s departing as Head of Enterprise Content at Thomson Reuters is for sure. Indeed, Thomson Reuters has already named his successor: Debra Walton, former head of the company’s specialist sales group. Industry veterans will remember Walton from her time at Telerate and Cantor Fitzgerald. In confirming the change, Thomson Reuters said no other staff changes are planned in the Enterprise Content business.

Meanwhile, in a ‘tangentially’ related move, Sally Hinds is believed to have stepped down as European head of enterprise data management at Bloomberg. Readers will recall that Hinds jumped ship to Bloomberg late last year from, yes, Thomson Reuters, following her US counterpart Roseann Palmieri, now head of enterprise data management globally, reporting to new hire Stanley Young, who harks from NYSE Technologies.

Bloomberg declines to comment on Hinds’ situation, but her departure would mark less than a year at the company.
