A-Team Group on Friday announced the winners of its prestigious RegTech Insight Awards during a well-attended and energetic ceremony held at Banking Hall on London’s Cornhill.

The awards, now in their third year, recognise excellence and innovation in the provision of technology solutions to meet regulatory requirements within the financial services industry, and are uniquely designed to recognise both new start-ups and well-established providers. Key areas of focus include solutions in the data management, surveillance, reporting, risk, compliance and research spaces, as well as special accolades such as the award for the best consultancy dedicated to regulatory solutions.

“The RegTech Insight Awards were created to acknowledge and applaud those firms at the very forefront of innovation, sourcing the most resourceful solutions to assist financial institutions with their ever-growing regulatory burden,” said A-Team Group RegTech Editor Lauren McAughtry. “They span a wide range of regulatory requirements, and as the market for regulation expands these solutions become ever more creative and sophisticated.”

The awards were hosted by A-Team Group Editor Sarah Underwood, who was joined by the record-breaking Roz Savage, the first woman to row solo across three oceans, to celebrate this year’s winners. This year welcomed the most extensive spread yet of categories and awards, demonstrating the rapid growth of the RegTech Sector: with five additional categories added and an impressive shortlist of well over 300 vendors.

Highlights included Best Innovative Technology for Regulatory Compliance going to The Derivatives Services Bureau; Best Regulatory Reporting Solution going to Cappitech; Best Trade Surveillance Solution going to NICE Actimize; Best Vendor Solution for Benchmark Regulation going to RIMES RegFocus BMR; and Best Sell-Side Regulatory Data Solution going to Refinitiv. Bloomberg Enterprise Regulatory Data was the biggest winner on the day, taking home two awards (for Best Buy-Side Regulatory Data Solution and Best Data Solution for FRTB). A full list of winners can be found here.

Andrew Delaney, Chief of Content at A-Team Group, said: “Our heartiest congratulations to the winners of this year’s A-Team Group RegTech Insight Awards and thank you to everyone who voted. We are delighted to facilitate such an accurate and inspirational cross-section of this increasingly crucial component of the financial services landscape; and the popularity of this year’s Awards only serves to emphasise the importance of RegTech as an invaluable industry segment.”
