Blue Ocean Technologies’ Blue Ocean ATS trading platform has selected S3, a regulatory reporting and trading analytics provider, for reporting to the US Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT). Blue Ocean Technologies specialises in global afterhours trading.

According to Matthew Horisk, Chief Information & Operating Officer for Blue Ocean Technologies, “Utilizing S3’s CAT Reporting Service will be a key component in scaling Blue Ocean ATS to meet increased volumes. Having recently expanded our services, with our newest development to support retail broker Robinhood’s 24 Hour Market, we are leaning on partners like S3 that can streamline our processes and add more efficiencies.”

Blue Ocean Technologies makes trading possible during US overnight trading hours. Blue Ocean Technologies’ US broker dealer subsidiary, Blue Ocean ATS, LLC, and its trading system Blue Ocean Alternative Trading System (BOATS), currently trade US National Market System (NMS) stocks from 8:00 pm to 4:00 am Eastern Time from Sunday to Thursday.

S3 provides trade analysis tools such as Global Best Ex & TCA for Options, Equities, and Fixed Income, as well as regulatory reporting tools for Trade Surveillance, SEC Rules 605 and 606 reporting, Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) reporting, and MiFID II / MiFIR transaction reporting.
