Xenomorph has launched TimeScape, a new data management and analysis suite based on the XML Web Services technology of the Microsoft .Net framework.

TimeScape unites data management, connectivity and pricing analysis of derivative and fixed income portfolios, delivering a single view through time of all asset classes. Xenomorph claims its use of the XML Web Services technology found within the .Net framework will set new standards in data management for high performance, rapid application development and low total cost of ownership. The firm says that using technologies such as server clustering, TimeScape leverages the price/performance gains now being delivered by Microsoft and Intel against older UNIX technologies.

David Slight, financial services industry manager at Microsoft, says: “The consolidation and management of data is a huge challenge facing the financial markets industry. In a complex environment where data is stored, accessed and delivered in many different ways, financial institutions need to be able to pull all this data together, and have the capability to manipulate it, quickly and simply. This is where Web Services and XML technology are ideal. With Timescape, Xenomorph takes advantage of the .Net framework to provide this connectivity and deliver the tools required by financial markets professionals to control, analyse and manage data effectively.”
