US REIT Signs up for Asset Control’s Tapmaster

An as yet unnamed US real estate investment trust (REIT) has picked Asset Control’s data management product Tapmaster to help to track its exposures and deal with the risks posed by underlying assets in the wake of last year’s subprime crisis.

According to Rick Enfield, who joined Asset Control last year as the product business owner of Asset Control’s other solution AC Plus, the REIT was very specific about what it wanted to do and the discussion cycle prior to implementation was “unusually quick”.

“The discussions with the client were completed in under eight weeks and we expect that the implementation will be carried out in a similar timeframe,” says Enfield. “It is quick because the solution is simple and easy to install for the browser-based client.”

Although the REIT has chosen to implement Tapmaster in a specific area, Enfield reckons this has the potential for expansion to other areas in the future. Asset Control expects to be able to release further details about the client, including its name, in September.
