Pico Appoints Bo Zhou as Head of APAC
Pico, the technology services, software, data and analytics vendor, has named Bo Zhou, Ph.D., as Head of APAC to oversee Pico’s continued growth in the region. Zhou brings more than 15 years of financial markets industry experience and was most recently Partner and Senior Managing Director for IHS Markit (now S&P Global). Previously, she served in various leadership positions at Bloomberg.
As Head of APAC, Zhou will drive Pico’s expansion efforts in Asia Pacific while overseeing all sales, operations and engineering throughout the region, in partnership with key global executives.
Taskize Hires James Pike as Head of Business Development
Taskize, the provider of inter-company workflow to the financial services industry, has announced the appointment of former Morgan Stanley Managing Director James Pike as Head of Business Development. Based in London, Pike brings over 24 years’ worth of industry knowledge and experience across securities and derivatives, having most recently held the role of EMEA Head of Client Operations and Global Head of Institutional Client Services at Morgan Stanley. Prior to that he was Global Co-Head of Equity Operations.
Pike’s role will be to continue the growth of the Taskize network, which has passed over 530 financial institutions, growing from 289 in January 2021.
Appital Appoints Matthew Jefford as Business Development Executive
Appital, the equity markets technology solution vendor, has appointed Matthew Jefford, an experienced equity markets specialist, as Business Development Executive. Jefford will help accelerate Appital’s growth strategy, specifically working with the asset management community to deepen platform liquidity, and support the firm’s mission to bring innovation and automation to equity markets.
Jefford brings over 30 years of experience working in the global financial markets. Prior to joining Appital, he was Electronic Sales Trader at ICAP and previously worked with Liquidnet, Bloomberg Tradebook and Instinet on Sales, Electronic and Automated Trading, covering clients in the EMEA region.
Persefoni Boss Mohin Chosen to Sit on FCA’s ESG Advisory Board
Tim Mohin, chief executive of data provider Persefoni, is among the sustainability-linked financial figures selected to help shape the UK’s regulatory response to ESG issues. The former Global Reporting Initiative chief will be joined by five other executives on the Financial Conduct Authority’s ESG Advisory Board. They include Harald Walkate, senior fellow at the Center for Sustainable Finance & Private Wealth (CSP) at the University of Zurich, and will be complemented by senior FCA figures.
DTCC Appoints Nashira Spencer to Head Security
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), the post-trade market infrastructure provider, has appointed Nashira Spencer as Chief Security Officer (CSO), responsible for managing DTCC’s enterprise-wide global information security, physical security, employee safety, and crisis/incident management functions. She will report to Tim Cuddihy, DTCC’s Group Chief Risk Officer.
Spencer brings 20 years of leadership and expertise in security management to DTCC, including serving the last 6 years as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and, most recently, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Anywhere Real Estate, a leading provider of U.S. residential real estate services.
Integral Hires Judy Goh to Head APAC Sales
Integral, the FX technology provider, has appointed Judy Goh as Managing Director and Head of Sales for APAC. Based in Singapore, Goh brings 16 years’ experience in the foreign exchange market, with management roles in e-FX institutional sales and business growth spanning across major financial institutions. Most recently, she held the role of Vice President of KX’s Trading Solutions in Asia. Prior to this, Goh was regional Sales Director at Deutsche Börse – 360T. She has also held roles at Deutsche Bank and OANDA.
In her new role, Goh will be responsible for continuing to drive the significant growth Integral has seen in the region.
TS Imagine Appoints Frederic Villain to Head Asia Pacific Sales
TS Imagine, the trading and risk management solutions vendor, has appointed Frederic Villain as Head of Sales for Asia Pacific. He will lead TS Imagine’s APAC sales team across its offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo, and will be responsible for growing the business in the region.
Villain brings over 25 years of sales experience in management roles. He was previously Head of Sales, Asia Pacific, for Itiviti, and earlier in his career he led regional sales in Asia Pacific for Bloomberg, Ullink (now part of Itiviti) and SunGard (now part of FIS).
TORA Appoints Alex Findlay to Head US Sales
Multi-asset OEMS & PMS vendor TORA, acquired by London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) earlier this year, has appointed Alex Findlay as Director of Sales, located in New York.
Findlay has more than 15 years of experience in financial products and sales, having previously worked as a sales and relationship manager for State Street’s FX Connect product first in London and then in New York. Findlay also served as Technical Account Manager at Bloomberg, and started his career as a market analyst at Thomson Reuters.
Northern Trust Appoints Michael Buzza to New Leadership Role
Northern Trust has appointed Michael Buzza as global head of Network Management & Market Strategy. In the new role, Buzza will oversee the teams dedicated to providing market access and insights across the traditional securities services markets within the Digital Assets and Financial Markets group.
Buzza has been with Northern Trust for 16 years, his most recent role being EMEA head of Market Advocacy and Innovation Research.
TS Imagine Appoints Three New Hires to Executive Team
Trading and risk management solutions vendor TS Imagine has appointed three executive leadership hires to support the firm’s rapid growth: Spencer Lee as Chief Markets Officer, Kate Peachway as Chief Financial Officer and Renee Calabro as Chief Marketing Officer.
Lee comes from Agilon Capital, a systematic hedge fund. Previously he led electronic credit trading at Blackrock. Peachway has been an investor in technology companies at Blue Ridge Capital, BlueMountain Capital, and GrowthCurve Capital, beginning her career at Morgan Stanley. Calabro joins from Edelman. Prior to that, she was at Deutsche Bank.
