Stablecoin Standard has appointed Dr Lisa Cameron to support its government relations and policy engagement across the United Kingdom and United States. In her new role, she will focus on convening global policymakers and members through a series of dedicated initiatives, including roundtables, networking dinners, and international trade missions.
Dr Cameron brings extensive legislative and policy experience to the organisation, having served as a UK Member of Parliament from 2015 to 2024. During her parliamentary tenure, she established and chaired the House of Commons’ first Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), where she led educational initiatives on emerging technologies for both MPs and Lords.
Following her departure from Parliament, she has remained a prominent figure in the sector, founding the UKUS Crypto Alliance and serving as Chair of the Digital Assets Global Forum. Her appointment aims to strengthen the organisation’s ongoing focus on digital asset regulation and global policy framework alignment.
