NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology unit of NYSE Euronext (NYX), today announced the continued expansion of its Historical TAQ product suite to include European Cash Equities and Fixed Income data from Euronext markets as well as Derivatives data from the NYSE Liffe U.S. market. Complementing the recent additions of U.S. Options and NYSE Liffe derivative products from January 2011, these additions further enhance the historical TAQ product suite that includes a broad range of key trading venues around the world and all NYSE Euronext markets.

Built at source from the Consolidated Tape, NYSE TAQ data has become an invaluable tool across commercial and academic institutions for analyzing historical market activity and developing and optimizing trading strategies. TAQ efficiently provides historical trade, quote, and order book data, and is time-stamped to the millisecond, allowing customers to recreate market conditions and align market events with accuracy.

Mark Schaedel, Senior Vice President, Global Data Products, NYSE Technologies said, “Our clients who source liquidity from global capital markets need to understand the dynamics and behaviors of each local market. Through these TAQ Europe enhancements, NYSE Euronext is leveraging its experience and global footprint to create the most comprehensive source of historical European data that customers can rely on as they have with our TAQ U.S. product. We began with the expansion of our own global, multi-asset exchanges, and are continuing to expand into other markets and asset classes to grow with our customers. We have created a platform that allows us to rapidly deploy new sources of historical data and to provide supporting tools and services that reduce the costs of interacting with the data.”

By offering a diverse product portfolio to meet ever-evolving global trading needs, NYSE Technologies supplies financial market professionals with the market data essential to decision making and strategy building with its full range of global information products and services from NYSE Euronext’s markets and other key markets around the world.
